vision

i've been thinking the last few days of getting contact lenses. i've been a wearer of glasses as long as i've been in need of corrective lenses, and i guess it's been about 10 years. well, maybe not as long as that. i'm not sure, i don't keep track of things like that, though i probably should, but really it's been a while. i've been wary about contacts because i'm squeamish about the concept as well as the reality of touching my own eyeballs. i do think that's something i'll get over, though, with a bit of practice.

see, dagmar regularly smears my glasses with his tongue and i think his and steve's roughhousing have made my current frames a bit wonky. on top of all this, kara says she thinks i'll see better with contacts than with glasses. so i think i'm going to call an optometrist today and see if i can make an appointment for friday. and get rid of these eyesores!
