idealism

as i'm still here, and will be a year from now, i just took this little select-your-presidential-candidate quiz thingie, at least partially as a tool for procrastination from writing. apparently i quite like dennis kucinich. (chris dodd is a close second.) kara and i saw the democratic debate a few weeks ago; i liked kucinich's ideas but found him to be a little shrill. though perhaps the shrillness stemmed from frustration, because he wasn't allowed as much time to speak as he wanted. (and i really don't care about the ufo thing; if anything, i admire him for his openness, even if it makes him sound a tad flaky.) yes, i like his ideas by and large but some of them are perhaps unrealistic, at least in the short term. plus, i don't think he's at all electable. which is of course sad. so, do i vote for him? or do i vote for someone who i think can win?

my scores:
kucinich 31
dodd 29
richardson 27
edwards 26
clinton 25
gravel (who's he?) 24
obama 22
biden 20

i confess surprise that i rate clinton higher than obama, and obama lower than most everyone else. curious.
